An great place to stay in Hubli, clean big and well appointed rooms and bathroom, gym, good resto
Breakfast was very good with wide enough selection of good south indian idli/wada/puri and cereal and eggs to order as well.
All good, their chinese restaurant was closed undergoing remodeling. would have liked to see that.

Good
The staff was good,helpful and friendly.
The mattress was not comfortable, and the room had a stink of the carpet once it was removed then it was bearable. The dinner buffet was strictly ok.

Meets the Lemon Tree standard, some more improvements can make it great
It is an old hotel named Phlox, which was recently acquired / rebranded as Lemon Tree. So I think it might take some more time to bring it up to the Lemon Tree standards. There are a few hits and misses, but overall it is a good hotel for a night or two. Rooms were spacious, bathrooms clean, bed was comfy, nothing really to complain about. The food was excellent, however a little on the spicier side. By the way, we were driving our own car and they had an on-site facility to wash the car for a nominal fee, and it was a really good job done.
Since the hotel is actually an old property, the rooms had a damp smell when we entered. AC was also a bit too noisy. Otherwise, it is priced fairly for what it gives. Also, the hotel is actually quite inside Hubli, not on the Hubli Dharwad by-pass road, which we should have checked better, since we were staying there as a stopover on our way from Mysore to Pune.
